On The 12th Date of Christmas by Nikki Lynn Barrett

On The 12th Date of Christmas was given to me for an honest review. Nothing was promised to me for a review…
After I told Nikki Lynn Barrett how much I enjoyed The Secret Santa Wishing Well she graciously offered me On The 12th Date of Christmas to read.
Robin is hurt. Her belief in humanity has been shattered after she was mugged. With her mind being anxious from the mugging, her heart was shattered the year before by the man she loved.
Jonas knew when he pushed Robin away he was doing something wrong. He pushed her away to please his parents and then he did an internship overseas. When he came back home, his heart and mind went immediately to Robin. Jonas only knows how much he wants her back his life.
When Jonas sees Robin, she is a completely different woman then how he left her. He wants to heal her.
Using her love of Christmas, Jonas asks for 12 dates. He wants to prove to her his love.
Jonas and Robin reconnect using the magic of Christmas. On The 12th Date of Christmas is the second book in the Secret Santa series.  It brings back the characters from The Secret Santa Wishing Well, but focuses on the relationship of Jonas and Robin.  I love how Nikki Lynn Barrett brings the joy of Christmas and creates a hopeful love story.  This book is very enjoyable to read at any time of the year.

The Secret Santa Wishing Well by Nikki Lynn Barett

I am a huge fan of Nikki Lynn Barrett. She and I had a conversation when about this book and I told her that I don’t start reading Christmas books till at least December 01. Well one day I looked at my TBR (to be read) pile and the cover caught my eye. It was well before my date of December 01. I am actually really glad I read the story.
Jacob is going through some tough emotional times. With his sister sick, life has him down. On her suggestion, he decided to dress up as Santa to hopefully restore his faith in Christmas. Not much was working until he meets a special little boy named Ben.
Ben’s mom Cheyenne is struggling to not only make it financially but to raise her son Ben and daughter Desiree as a single mother. Since the break up her marriage, things don’t seem to be going well for her.
Reading The Secret Santa Wishing Well restored my faith in Christmas. But this book just has a sweet vibe too it. Cheyenne and Jacob are developing a relationship that gives them both hope and then with Ben and his dreams make the whole story.  The Secret Santa Wishing Well is great story and I highly recommend it to read it for not only a Christmas pick me up but at any time of the year!

Jake Men of Clifton, Montana by Susan Fisher-Davis

I was given a copy of Jake by the author for an honest review.. nothing was promised to me for this.
Jake.. oh my goodness I don’t know where to start with this book. First of all, the cover. The man that portrays one of the main characters, Jake, is super hot. He makes me want to go to Montana to find my own cowboy 🙂
Jake and Becca meet up when Becca gets to Clifton, Montana to see a ranch that she inherited from a grandmother she never knew. Ever the city girl, Becca has no idea what to do with a ranch. Jake is hoping the girl will sell to him so that he can expand his own ranch, which is neighboring next to hers. Under the clause of the will, Becca must live in it for 6 months.
The entire story is just.. well I don’t even know how to describe it. The story features characters that are extremely well developed. Jake and Becca make the story not only light-hearted but there is suspense, and it is hopeful and thoughtful. The story is steady and has some great action, not only in the bed 😉 but just with the whole plot of the story.

My Melody by TJ West

my melody

I received an ARC of My Melody from the author for an honest review…
So.. the whole Downtown series has been amazing since Forbidden Faith. I have been eagerly awaiting for the each book in the series. And I am really lucky that TJ West likes me and allows me to read them for an honest review.
So Forbidden Faith was just hot, and each book has gotten hotter. My Melody is the hottest one so far.
Melody meets Wayne one night at one of his concerts, from there he can’t get her out of his mind.
Melody is always running. She can’t let herself just stay with one person. One night with Wayne makes her feel differently.
Each of characters are so well developed. Melody and Wayne each have their flaws, but they work so perfectly together.
The whole Downtown series is an absolute must read! My Melody just blew me away…

Autumn by J.M. Zuniga

I received a copy of Autumn by the author for an honest review..
Autumn seemed to have the perfect life in her small town of Woodport, North Dakota. She is finishing her last year of high school. Autumn is a cheerleader, gets excellent grades and dating her childhood sweetheart who is on the football team. Life is good for Autumn Newbree.
A new family moves in. And with any new family that moves into a small town, there is a lot of curiosity surrounding the new family. Autumn is just as curious as the rest of the town. She doesn’t know that her curiosity is about to change her life.
The Delalande family is about to shake up some lives in Woodport. Rylan, Hunter and Skylar change many things for Autumn and her friends. Some of it is good, and some of it is bad.
Autumn is a great read and the start of what promises to be a great series. I want to know what is going to happen, so I am definitely awaiting the next book.
